Why should you examine your writing style with the idea of improving it?
I think as a writer you should always keep a open idea towards improving your writtings because everything is open to improvement, there is always a little change that you could take in as advice but in the end i think its up to the writter to write however they want to write there paper because its the way that they express there work. you cant tell someone how exsactly to write something and instead should just give them advice. as a writter you should always re-read your writtings and just see how it sounds as a paper then after re-read it and see what could be changed. its always best to keep your ideas open to improvement though

I agree with your point of view in this instance. It bothers me when people try to tell me exactly how to write a paper instead of just offering a little bit of advice. At the same time I do believe that a person can teach another person many grammatic rules and help with rewording after revision. Sometimes the best thing for me to do after I have written is let another person read it and give me input because a fresh set of eyes always brings fresh perspective. I think you hit the nail on the head with this post.
